Oatley Station

TfNSW is currently upgrading access to the rail network across NSW under the Transport Access Program. DesignInc won a competitive tender to design new station access and facilities at Oatley and Marrickville Station. MAAT joined the consultant team to implement the TfNSW Wayfinding Program.

Working with DesignInc and the transport Customer Experience Division signage planning was integrated with the station architecture, responding to customer needs to provide legible signage and encourage a safe and positive arrival and departure experience. Lifts and bridges were introduced, providing access to all platforms and kiss & ride and bike parking facilities were expanded responding to increased usage of the rail services. At Oatley Station a 100-space car park was built adjacent to the site, with signage scaled and sited to suit the residential area.
