Bundanon

Wayfinding strategy & environmental graphics for Bundanon cultural precinct & Art Museum on the Shoalhaven.

MAAT worked with Bundanon Trust to develop a precinct wayfinding & signage strategy for Bundanon – Arthur Boyd’s gift to the Australian people – creating & delivering signage for the Art Museum, cultural residencies & landscape across both sites.

Rebranded by Boccalatte in response to the reimagined destination, the precinct development has been driven by a multi-award-winning scheme by Kerstin Thompson Architects.

The signage is integrated with the new landscape and building works, bringing to life the new brand and identity across the two sites and winding vehicular journey between them.

Responding to the new public and private spaces the signage supports the operational needs of the trust whilst implementing a light touch to the highly legible landscape and buildings.

The signage uses a strong red for contrast on the vehicular journey through the bush, shifting to a neutral palette where located along the pathways and in buildings.
